Ambitious Goals
Like the major Dauphine Digital program, Dauphine Durable deals with education as well as with research and university life.
The program has 3 main objectives:
- To train students in issues related to the ecological transition so they will become agents of change, and empower them by encouraging their initiatives
- To constitute a forum for exchange between research professors and professionals, in France and abroad, and contribute to public debate
- To assert itself as a model university in terms of organizational operation by utilizing a framework consistent with transition goals
A Program Supported by
the Dauphine Foundation
Dauphine Foundation
The Dauphine Durable Fund, financed in part by the Dauphine Foundation, has been supporting innovative structural initiatives in the university community with regard to SDGs since 2019. A call for proposals targeted to all Dauphine students was issued in October 2019 (a dozen or so projects are underway) on two major topics:
- Reducing the Université Paris Dauphine-PSL's ecological footprint with the goal of improving the environmental performance of the university and its operations
- Shifting the practices of everyone at the university in a sustainable direction, while also promoting and improving equality and diversity on the campus
A Sheltered Foundation: Fondation Madeleine
With a budget of 750,000 euros over 15 years, Fondation Madeleine is a public-interest non-profit organization. Its mission is to:
- Support the Université Paris Dauphine-PSL in asserting its social responsibility and in its capacity to train economic managers, executives, entrepreneurs, and public decision-makers to be aware of their responsibilities and able to gauge the social and environmental consequences of their decisions
- Help to produce world-class research and innovative knowledge in connection with environmental protection, the ecological transition, and climate issues
- Promote entrepreneurship and support entrepreneurs in their projects, especially sustainable and ecological projects (honor loans, transitional funding, etc.)
