Biography

Sylvain Carré joined Dauphine in September 2021. An Associate Professor since 2024, when he defended his Accreditation to Supervise Research, coordinated by Prof. Bertrand Villeneuve, he was awarded the ``Young Researcher in Economics" 2023 prize by Autorité des Marchés Financiers. His thesis, ``Three Problems of Liquidity under Asymmetric Information", was advised by Prof. Pierre Collin-Dufresne at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and he defended it in 2019.

Sylvain's research interests lie in traditional banking economics, decentralized finance, and information economics. He has published in leading economics and finance journals such as the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Economic Theory, the Journal of International Economics, and the Journal of Banking and Finance
