Description du contenu de l'enseignement :

The course Advanced Perspectives in Strategic management aims at providing students with a deeper knowledge and understanding of theories in strategic management and thus enabling them to develop a more sensitive reading of strategy, strategic management practices and strategic choices. The course also aims to introduce students to research in strategy, its development, advances, and some of its current topics and issues.

The course is organized in thematic sessions. Each session requires a number of preliminary readings and is structured around presentations by the students and an exchange based on both the readings and the presentations. Subsequently, additional readings can be proposed to the students.

Pré-requis recommandés :

The course presupposes an initial knowledge of strategy theories and the major themes often associated with them. For those who did not have any course in Strategy / Strategic Management, the reading of Strategy Safari, Mintzberg, is mandatory. For other, this reading is recommended.

Compétence à acquérir :

In addition to knowledge related to the theory of strategy and strategic management, this course enables students to develop a capacity for analysis of contemporary strategic issues. Students will also be introduced to the reading of scientific productions.
