The course Qualitative research methods Theories aims at providing students with a deeper knowledge and understanding of qualitative research methods and thus enabling them to understand quality criteria for qualitative research, as well as developing research projects with relevant methods. The course also aims at making students able to choose methods options and justify their choices.
The course is organized in thematic sessions. Each session requires a number of preliminary readings and is structured around presentations by the students and an exchange based on both the readings and the presentations. Subsequently, additional readings can be proposed to the students.

· Being able to make choices about design and methods in real research projects
· Develop coherent research projects in terms of methods
· Develop technical skills in practicing data collection and analysis
