English Track in Law - 302 - 2nd year of master's degree

Program Objectives

The English Track in Law is a programme offered at Université Paris Dauphine-PSL which allows law students to follow law courses entirely in English.
Courses are taught by permanent faculty members at Dauphine, as well as visiting & adjunct faculty for more specialised topics.

  • Enable International students to discover & study a civil law system at a leading French university by undertaking courses related to French law taught exclusively in English. Two introductory classes are offered on French Law & Institutions, and European Law & Institutions. Cover modules relate to a variety of Comparative, International and European topics, which are well-adapted to international students;
  • Undertake taught courses given by Dauphine professors and a distinguished international faculty, as well as selected research papers under the guidance of the programme Directors / and associated faculty.

When you enroll in a Master's program, you also join Université PSL. Ranked in the top 50 universities in the world (THE and QS), PSL offers excellent graduate programs at the Master's and PhD level, which benefit from the scientific capabilities of its member institutions. The degree is completed at the Université Paris Dauphine-PSL and awarded by Université PSL.

This program provided a broad range of topics regarding both comparative law and commercial law in a remarkably integrated manner. There was significant overlap between the topics that allowed the courses and seminars to complement each other in a cohesive way without being redundant.

As a result, the individual parts were pulled together into a single subject area that encompassed not just the current state of the law. The English Track Program allowed me to have a well rounded understanding of international and comparative law. I was able to learn about the history and philosophy of different legal systems and how they interact with each other in modern day society.

All the professors were knowledgeable in their field, and created a welcoming and thought-provoking environment even though it was mostly virtual because of the pandemic.
