Is "Climate Refugee" the right term?

As climate extremes, from rising sea levels to droughts, increase, the movement of people is becoming one of the most complex challenges of our century. What happens when climate change reshapes where and how people can live?

The master 111 "International and Development Economics" invites you to join us on:

March 27th at 18h00
at Université Dauphine-PSL - Amphi 8

for a high-level panel with Katrin Millock (PSE/CNRS), Lisa Andersson (OECD) and Flore Gubert (IRD/LEDa).

Focusing on the topic “Climate & Migrations : Understanding population displacements in the context of climate change”, they will unpack:

  • Definitions: Distinguishing between displacement, migration, and mobility.
  • Realities: Comparing the vulnerabilities of climate migrants vs. political refugees.
  • Solutions: How to fund and govern legal migration pathways in a warming world.
