Biography
Djalil CHAFAÏ (شافعي جليل), PhD University of Toulouse (2002), mathematician, mainly specialized in probability and statistics, analysis, and mathematical physics. University professor since 2009, at Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée and then Paris-Dauphine - PSL. From September 2021 and until end of August 2031, at the disposal of the department of mathematics and applications of the École normale supérieure - PSL.
Honorary member of the Institut universitaire de France (IUF).
Agrégé de mathématiques.
Also worked as a teacher, researcher, or engeneer, full-time or part-time, for Université de Toulouse, Centre national de recherche en météorologie de Météo-France (CNRM), University of Oxford (UK), Institut national de recherche en agronomie et environnement (INRAE), and École polytechnique.
