Description du contenu de l'enseignement :
This second-year course moves beyond a foundational introduction to AI related concepts in English to explore its ethical, legal, and cultural dimensions, in order to diversify and elevate students ability to express themselves in English. Students examine key debates surrounding AI ethics and regulation, investigate how artificial intelligence is transforming artistic practice and the questions it raises among artists, and critically engage with the phenomenon of deepfakes. The semester concludes with the analysis of literary and cinematic representations of AI, developing students critical thinking and interpretive skills through discussion and close reading in English.

They will be able to use their language skills analyze AI's role and reception in the arts, and critically discuss the issues raised by deepfake technology. Students will also develop close reading and critical analysis skills, applying them to literary and cinematic representations of AI.
