Preparing for your stay in France
Université Paris Dauphine – PSL welcomes hundreds of international students to its exchange program every year. The university does all it can to assist them with their arrival.
Housing
Dauphine offers exchange students the option of affordable housing within 45 minutes travel from the university, for a semester or a full academic year.
Visa
Students who are not European citizens must obtain a visa to come to France. Once you have received your letter authorizing you to come and study at Université Paris Dauphine – PSL, contact the French embassy in your home country.
Cost of living in Paris
- Student Housing: between 500 and 800 euros a month
- Private sector housing: between 700 and 1,000 euros a month
- Food costs: around 250 / 300 euros a month
- Public transportation (metro, bus, tram, RER): students under the age of 26 staying a full academic year are eligible for the Imagin’R card (392,30 euros a year); For a single semester, the navigo card (90,80 euros a month) is available.
Health Insurance
All students must enroll in the French comprehensive social security system (CPAM).
- If you're a student from the European Union, be sure to bring your European health insurance card.
- If you're a student from Quebec, you'll need to submit form SE 401-Q-106.
