Become a solicitor

As of July 2021, and in partnership with BARBRI, Université Paris Dauphine - PSL offers a training program to prepare students to sit the British bar exam.
Eligibility requirements:
- Be a French Lawyer who has not studied Common Law
- Have an undergraduate university degree
A two-part exam
SQE 1 - (Functional Legal Knowledge)
- 360 multiple-choice questions administered online over two days in a testing center in France or the UK
- 20- or 40- week Barbri prep course (£ 2,999)
- Depending on the length of the prep course, 10 to 12 hours or 20 hours of work per week for English students
- Exams in July or November, except in 2022 (July only)
SQE 2 - (Skills and Practical Legal Assessment)
- 6 oral and written questions over six days, spread over a 2-week period in the UK
- 8- or 16-week Barbri prep course (£2,999 if student also took the Barbri SQE1 prep course)
- 20 to 25 hours per week
- Exams in April or October

Assistance applying for the bar entrance exam
Because these are new exams, pass rate metrics are not yet available.
However, 83% of Barbri-trained candidates who sat the old bar entrance exam (QLTS) passed, whereas the overall pass rate was only 50%.
