Apprenticeship and professionalization contracts:
how they work
Applicants for professionalization contracts must be no older than 25 and for apprenticeship contracts younger than 30 at the time of signing. International students from outside the EU cannot sign a contract if they do not have a "student" residence permit and have been resident in France for less than a year.
Students sign a contract with a company for a period of one year if they are studying for an undergraduate degree or for the second year of a Master’s program (M2), and for two years if applying for both years of a Master’s program (M1 + M2).
Work-study students divide their time between working at the company and taking classes on the Porte Dauphine and Saint Georges (IPJ) campuses.
The schedule for company / university work-study programs varies per program and is updated annually in order to meet the requirements of the profession in question.
How much does
a work-study program cost?
All tuition costs for education are covered by the host company. Work-study students have employee status and are remunerated for their time.
Apprenticeship contracts : Remuneration depends on student age and degree year. Students under the age of 18 will receive a salary equivalent to 27% of the minimum wage the first year, then 39%, then 55% in their final year. Students aged between 18 and 21 will receive 43% of the minimum wage the first year, then 51%, and then 67% in their final year. Students over the age of 21 will receive between 53% and 78% of the minimum wage.
Professionalization contracts : Remuneration depends on student age. Students under the age of 21 will receive a salary equivalent to 55% of the minimum wage. Between the ages of 21 and 25, they receive 70% of the minimum wage.

The university organizes a Work-Study Fair every year.
It is exclusively to provide Dauphine’s work-study students with an opportunity to meet partner companies in a unique environment.
The event brings together more than 50 institutions, companies, start-ups, and NGOs and 850 undergraduate and Master’s students.
