Can early investors shape startup innovation?
Join our online research seminar on 25 September with Katja Kisseleva and Brian K. Baik.
How does the identity of a startup's first investors influence its innovation trajectory?
Join us for our next Online Research Seminar, featuring Katja Kisseleva from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management who will present new research examining the relationship between family equity financing and startup innovation.
Drawing on Norwegian administrative data, the research explores how the identity of early-stage investors may influence startups' R&D investment, their access to government innovation grants, and their ability to attract subsequent institutional funding.
The findings shed light on how the nature of a startup's initial financing can have lasting implications for its innovation and development.
