The Women and Science Chair at Université Paris Dauphine-PSL is organising its 2025 scientific meeting on Women and Science: Educational, professional and cultural issues, international comparisons.

The purpose of this conference is to present an overview of the determinants of the lower presence of women in scientific studies and careers, while highlighting the issues addressed in education (stereotypes, gender inequalities, gender bias) and on international experiences in France, Italy, Armenia, Africa, India, Norway and the USA.

The issue of women’s underrepresentation in science is more pressing today than ever, amplified by the rise of artificial intelligence, a field where women remain underrepresented. This societal challenge raises important questions about scientific and technological progress without the full participation of all members of society. It is crucial to deeply understand the causes and consequences of this reality. 


The meeting will be held on 11th february 2025 at Université Paris Dauphine-PSL
