The Women and Science chair publishes its scientific report -february 2026

The Women and Science Chair has succeeded in developing a rich scientific activity over the past seven years, with a strong international outlook. It supports 42 research projects in more than 20 countries worldwide, involving a network of around one hundred researchers, and funds 2 PhD theses in France. Its research has resulted in publications in top-tier international journals such as Science, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Nature Communications, Science Advances, among others.
The Women and Science Chair is committed to developing, supporting and disseminating academic research providing informed answers to complex questions linked to the central problem of the underrepresentation of women in science: What are the determining factors? What explains the lower presence of women in scientific fields? What is the impact on science, society and on the status of women? What public policies should be adopted to reverse this trend?
