Research Environment
After a master degree in Applied and Theoretical Mathematics, students will be able to enroll in a doctorate in mathematics and pursue in the academic research.
Thanks to the rich research environment of the Ceremade - Dauphine-PSL and DMA-ENS-PSL laboratories that are associated to the master, students will have a vast choice of M2 internships and of future PhD directors. We warmly encourage our students to visit the web pages of permanent members of both research laboratories to identify potential directors and contact them directly. A few internship opportunities are listed here, but bear in mind that most colleagues are available to direct an M2 thesis though the do not advertise it, since the subject of the internship might depend on the evolving state of the art of their research field and can be also tailor-made based on the student's interest.
Interested students might look at the Mathematics program of the Dauphine-PSL doctoral school where several options to obtain a PhD grant are also listed.
Research Seminars
To get an introduction to academic research, students are strongly recommended to participate to the Colloquium of CEREMADE, taking place the first Tuesday of the month.
Venue : A709
Schedule : 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The Analysis and Probability seminar taking place each Tuesday morning (except on the Colloquium's days) is recommended as well.
