Master - Mathematics and Applications

Program Objectives

The "Applied Mathematics" Master's program offers a broad range of courses, from pure mathematics to applied mathematics. The 1st year of the Mathematics and Applications master's degree is organized into three majors: Actuarial Science, Advanced Mathematics and Statistics, based on common core courses, courses specific to the major and optional courses.

Each of these majors is linked more closely to the various Master 2 courses on offer, while maintaining a high degree of flexibility in terms of orientation, thanks to a customizable curriculum.

Program Objectives :

  • Delve deep into mathematics during the first year.
  • Enhance first-year theoretical knowledge and lead into applied and theoretical mathematics.
  • Pursue a doctorate or pursue studies leading towards professionalization.

This Master's program is the fruit of a collaboration between Dauphine-PSL, École Normale Supérieure-PSL, MINES ParisTech-PSL and Observatoire de Paris-PSL.
