Program Objectives
The Master's in Applied Mathematics offers a wide range of courses covering a broad spectrum of disciplines, from fundamental mathematics to applied mathematics.
The first year of the Master's in Mathematics and Applications is structured around two majors : https://dauphine.psl.eu/formations/masters/mathematiques-et-applications/1re-annee-de-master-majeure-actuariatActuarial Science and https://dauphine.psl.eu/en/training/masters-degrees/mathematics-and-applied-mathematics/advanced-mathematics-major-masters-1st-yearAdvanced Mathematics. The program is based on a foundation of core courses, supplemented by courses specific to each major and optional units that allow for progressive specialization.
Each of these majors is linked to the various second-year Master's programs (Master 2), thus promoting a coherent and well-prepared orientation. In addition, the structure of the program guarantees real flexibility in the construction of academic and professional projects, thanks to the possibility of personalizing the course of study.
Program Objectives :
This Master's program is the result of a collaboration between Paris Dauphine University - PSL, the École Normale Supérieure - PSL, MINES Paris - PSL, and the Paris Observatory - PSL.
- To deepen students' knowledge of mathematics in the first year ;
- To build on the theoretical foundation established in the first year and open up pathways toward applied or theoretical mathematics ;
- To pursue a Ph.D. or more career-oriented paths.
When you enroll in a Master's program, you also join Université PSL.
