Program Objectives of the Master’s Degree in Statistical and Financial Engineering

The second year of the Master's degree in Mathematics and Applications, specializing in Statistical and Financial Engineering (ISF initial training), prepares students for jobs requiring a five-year higher education degree and the use of applied mathematics in line with the needs of businesses in statistics and finance. It offers students a solid education that enables them to quickly enter the workforce in industry and services. The Master's program offers two tracks: "Data Science" and "Finance". The emphasis is on professional training with the help of participants from the business world, and on business knowledge through internships.

Training objectives :

The aim of this program is to train business executives.

  • Possess a good command of quantitative methods, mathematical and statistical modeling, and IT tools.
  • Be able to analyze a problem, propose and implement a solution, taking charge of digital and IT processing.
  • Be trained in specific techniques used in the service industry (economic studies, marketing, production management, quality control, finance, insurance, etc.)
  • Finance, insurance, data science, statistics, and marketing are the main sectors that recruit students from the Master 2 in Classical Statistical and Financial Engineering program upon completion of their training.

The program is proposed as a traditional course and a work-study program.
