Biographie
Marion Sones-Marceau is a senior lecturer at the university of Paris-Dauphine. She has written about the link between literature and society, involving the development of the book market, writers’ responsibilities and the effects of social crisis. She has had works published by the Presses de l’Université de Paris-Sorbonne (« Kruitzner : Expansion des frontières de la transgression »), Les Cahiers du CICLaS (“The Social Responsibilities of the Novelist: A Late Eighteenth-Century Model”; “The Gothic Novel : Popular Literature’s Response to England’s Late 18th-Century Crisis”), Ashgate Publishing (“The Lee Sisters: Eighteenth-Century Commercial Heroines”) and Red Rattle Books (“Frankenstein: The Gothic Creation of an Unbridled Mind”).
