Biography
Gabriel Turinici is applied mathematics Professor at Université Paris Dauphine. Former student of the ENS Ulm (Paris), he obtained a Ph.D in numerical analysis from Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris VI) and also his HDR. He begun his carreer as "chargé de recherche" at INRIA Paris. Then he was appointed professor at Université Paris Dauphine. He is former member of the "Institut Universitaire de France", academic editor of several scientific journals and author of many research papers. His interests are in the broad field of mathematical modelling and algorithms (deterministic or stochastic) with applications in quantum physics, statistical learning, epidemiology and finances.
