Testimonials
I first worked at Ernst & Young as an intern in 2004. Because I found the experience particularly rewarding and wanted to be hired back in the future, I applied for the program in Audit and Financial Advisory on the recommendation of the partner charged with Dauphine student relations. The program helped me develop a sound technical skillset and the practical working methods best suited to the work of an auditor. This helped me deal with various issues more easily and take on more complex challenges earlier in my career. Currently, even though I am still a Senior Manager, I am responsible for my two main portfolios, Veolia Environnement and the Rémy Cointreau Group.

During my second year in the Master’s program in Audit and Financial Advisory I also did an internship at KPMG, and I noticed that, compared to many other interns, I was able to immediately get to work. The training I received when I started at the company was a condensed (and lower quality) version of the courses I had already taken at university. [...] Because we had worked on a number of studies and practical case studies, we weren’t stuck in a purely academic mindset. [...] The majority of the professors were extremely good. I particularly appreciated the contributions of the large number of auditors currently working in the Big Four.

I am currently a financial auditor at PwC. The move into the professional world went very smoothly for me. My colleagues appreciated how well the Audit and Financial Advisory program had prepared me for the work: when we graduate, we already know the techniques of audit investigation and have a good grounding in French and international accountancy. We’re also familiar with the major issues at play in finance and corporate governance, as well as the broad outlines of the regulatory and ethical aspects of the professions of auditor and statutory auditor. [...] This program is taught by a balance of academic faculty and passionate audit and finance professionals, and provides a high-level bridge between theory and practice.

The Audit and Financial Advisory program provides an excellent education in the auditing professions that I can’t recommend highly enough. The focus is on all aspects of our future profession: SMB audits, bank audits, in-depth accounting, ethics, IS audits, etc.... the program is really very comprehensive. The program is also diverse: beyond auditing, it aims to cover all the financial aspects of a company: corporate finance, valuation, structured products... My career path is a little atypical, because while I was a student in this program I discovered a passion for financial analysis and corporate evaluation. I then decided to continue my studies elsewhere. But I was able to do so because this second-year Master’s program has such a reputation for quality, and because there is a lot of synergy between financial audit and the field of corporate finance. Being recognized as a specialist in financial techniques, and having an approach finance that begins with audit and accounting has been a real asset for me. It’s something that differentiates me and is deeply appreciated in my current role, a position I would never have been able to obtain without the synergistic education facilitated by the Audit and Financial advisory program.
