Biography
Deirdre Gilfedder is Professor of English at the University of Paris-Dauphine. She specializes in Australian history and cultural studies, and has published widely on the memory of the First World War and other “places of remembrance” in Australia. She is also interested in issues relating to indigenous Australians, monarchy and republicanism in Commonwealth countries, as well as postcolonial theory. She is the author of the book L'Australie et la Grande Guerre, published by Michel Houdiard and editor of the journal, Postcolonial Cultures: studies and essays, published by SEPC, Université Sorbonne Nouvelle.
