Can you tell us a bit about your professional background?
After completing my Law studies at Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas and Legal Linguistics at ISIT, I enrolled in the two-year program at IAP (Institut des Assurances de Paris) at Université Paris Dauphine-PSL. I then pursued lawyer training at the EFB (École de Formation professionnelle du Barreau) before joining Gide Loyrette Nouel as an associate in the Insurance, Industrial Risks & Transportation department.
What does an insurance lawyer's daily job involve?
The daily life of an insurance lawyer is extremely diverse: depending on the area of activity, they may draft legal documents and plead in contentious cases or advise various sector actors, especially in their interactions with regulatory authorities.
What aspect of this profession interests you the most?
It is precisely this diversity that fuels my passion every day, both in terms of the types of cases and the issues to be addressed. The constantly evolving insurance environment is also very stimulating.
Why did you choose Université Paris Dauphine-PSL for your training?
Besides the recognized quality of the education at Université Paris Dauphine-PSL, the two-year alternating work-study program was a key factor as it allowed for continuous practical application.

What advice would you give to a student considering a career as an insurance lawyer?
Above all, you must be curious and let go of any certainties. Regulatory and jurisprudential changes require constant questioning and continuous learning.

Role and missions of the insurance lawyer
The insurance lawyer is employed by insurance companies, mutual insurance companies, and insurance brokers to manage the overall contract follow-up and client relations. On a daily basis, their tasks are particularly diverse.
