The Master’s Degree program in the words of our students
Alumni Testimonials
After undertaking a few entrepreneurial ventures and completing studies at a fashion school, I joined Université Paris Dauphine – PSL in the 1st year of a Master’s Degree, which led to spending a gap year studying at School 42 in Silicon Valley. On my return to France, the Technology and Innovation Management program was a great way to, on the one hand, make the most of my atypical career path and, on the other hand, consolidate the theory and practice of innovation design and management. The Technology and Innovation Management program brought together students from a broad range of academic backgrounds, from Biological Engineering, Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering to Management Science, Political Science and Law, as well as designers, professors and researchers specializing in design theories, who had come from PSL member institutions or from its network: Université Paris Dauphine – PSL, Mines Paris - PSL, INSTN and the CEA. The opportunity to come into contact with people from this broad range of backgrounds, as well as the academic quality of the teaching, led me to pursue a doctorate that combined my first loves (the world of computer programming with a topic on Artificial Intelligence) with design theories, management and innovation, without losing touch with the business world (CIFRE contract agreed with a company that is a member of one of the Dauphine laboratories’ Cercle de l’Innovation). I now teach my specialties there, on the 1st year of the Master’s Degree program, and on the Technology and Innovation Management program. It is not only an honor, it also means I don’t have to leave! There are also three assignments that students undertake as part of the Technology and Innovation Management program (Business Plan, Innovation Design and Prospective Technology), which have so far funded three study trips to Berlin, Brazil and to the CES exhibition in Las Vegas. Finally, I can’t not mention the sports on offer at Université Paris Dauphine – PSL, and volleyball in particular. In my first year, the volleyball team, together with its coaches, won the national championships!
