Gwenaël LE MOUËL
Financial auditor at Ernst & Young - Class of 2008

After completing the first year of a master's in management sciences with a specialization in corporate finance, I took a year out from my studies to pursue an internship in mergers and acquisitions and acquired my diploma in accounting and financial studies.

With this experience behind me, I joined the first cohort of the second year Master’s program in Accounting, Control, Auditing in order to increase my theoretical knowledge of accounting and finance. But this year of study actually gave me the opportunity to go beyond theory: it introduced me to the realities of the business world and put my technical knowhow in perspective.

Another not insignificant advantage is that fact that the Accounting, Control, Auditing program is a true springboard towards becoming a certified chartered accountant, since the courses count towards the DECF. Last but not least, the respective reputations of my first Master’s program in Accounting and Finance, the program in Accounting, Control, and Audit, and Université de Paris Dauphine-PSL, meant that I was hired at Ernst & Young before I had even finished my degree.

I am currently working as a financial auditor and am completing my certified chartered accountancy exam.

Simon TAILLEFER
Class of 2008

After first studying in the DUGEAD program at Université Paris Dauphine – PSL, I completed my undergraduate degree and the first year of my Master’s in the Accounting, Control, Auditing program. Both because of what I learned and because of the degree’s good reputation, the two years in Accounting, Control, Auditing were really beneficial to my throughout my academic career as an exchange student in Germany and then in Business School. I can attest that the quality of the teaching in the Accounting, Control, Auditing program is excellent!

My work experience with KPMG, which was part of the Accounting, Control, Auditing program, opened the door for me to work in sales, first at Société Générale and then at Commerzbank in London. While I was completing these internships, I experienced the relevance of what I was learning in the Accounting, Control, Auditing program to the pricing models I was using on a daily basis. With experience such as this behind me, I was able to complete my education at Bocconi, where I gained a Master’s in Quantitative Finance.

Although the reputation of the master's degree in Accounting, Control, Auditing in these fields is well established, I can attest that the perfect balance of teaching in Law, Accounting and Finance gives you the opportunity to have a great career in a variety of sectors.
