Teaching Modalities
Work-study split: 3 days within government agencies/consulting firms/authorities - 2 days of classes per week: Thursday evening, all day Friday and Saturday morning.
A Study Trip is planned to take place in June.
Lectures are based on real-world case studies.
First semester, core curriculum: courses in Public Law, Public Management, Public Finance and Accounting, and Marketing.
In the second semester, students can choose to personalize the program according to their goals, with a major in public action tools, or public sector marketing.
Students will write a research paper relating to their professional experience, applying the multidisciplinary teaching from the program. This research paper is focused on practical application.
Courses taught off-site:
The Master’s Degree program is delivered in partnership with the INSP, and on Fridays teaching takes place at the INSP (formerly the ENA), Rue de l’Observatoire, in the 6th arrondissement in Paris.
Some classes may be taught off-site, within public institutions (such as the Assemblée Nationale and the Musée d’Orsay)
Research paper and supervised projects
The range of host organizations participating in the apprenticeship program is extremely diverse, and can vary from one year to the next. As an example, students are regularly offered placements at the Senate, the CAF, Government Ministries, legal departments within local authorities, national public institutions and museums such as the Opéra de Paris, and the Caisse des Dépôts (French public sector financial institution).
Students from different academic paths are brought together on this program, and are encouraged to collaborate and bring their training to life, with courses taught off-site, trips, reviews and lectures.
Students write a research paper for their host organization that is focused on practical application, the subject of which will be determined in conjunction with the host organization.
