Academic Training Year 2024 - 2025 - subject to modification

Teaching Modalities

This program consists of 270 hours of instruction spread between the months of September and April.

The first semester is mainly focused on theoretical and practical coursework taught by academics and professionals alike.
The period from January to March in the second semester is dedicated to a collaborative study created under the aegis of a programmatic partnership with major players in urban planning and regional development.

Students complete a six-month internship between April and late September before writing their thesis. Students wishing to write a doctoral thesis after completing this program can do a research thesis instead of an internship.

The student will have passed the year after defending the internship or research thesis, which are the equivalent of 12 ECTS credits (out of a total of 60).

Internships and Supervised Projects

In small groups, students conduct a study (to include a territorial assessment and urban project management) under the aegis of a programmatic partnerships with major players in urban planning and regional development. This tutored project results in a deliverable presented to the partners in March.

Students complete an end-of-studies internship lasting a maximum of six months. The teaching team supports students in their search for an internship and will connect them to program's various partners. Students are required to produce an internship thesis at the end of their internship and defend it before a review panel of program faculty.
