How to apply?
The admissions process consists of 3 stages:
- Applications are submitted online through the dedicated MyCandidature platform
- Eligibility is determined based on the application file being complete.
- Admission is either granted, on waiting list or denied
The admission process for the first year of the Master in Quantitative Economics is highly selective. Applicants must demonstrate their ability to undertake intensive courses and learn the analytical and quantitative methods central to the program. The selection procedure places significant emphasis on mastery of applied math and/or statistics, as well as foundational economics at the bachelor’s level (microeconomics and macroeconomics).
Fluency in English is also required (see above for details).
The application file must include the following: a detailed CV (in English), a cover letter (in English) clearly stating your motivation for joining the Master’s program in Quantitative Economics, a comprehensive written response to a set of questions (in English), high school and college transcripts (covering all Bachelor years), and proof of English proficiency. Up to two recommendation letters may be included to strengthen the application, as well as a summary of internships and dissertations, if applicable. The application must be completed in either French or English. Please ensure that any documents in languages other than English or French are officially translated.
All applications are evaluated by the admissions committee. Each application is assessed independently by two faculty members and discussed during the selection session. Only complete applications will be considered, and no oral interviews are conducted.
