Association
Governed by Magistère students, the Magistère BFA Association promotes the program among professionals and fosters BFA spirit within and between each cohort.
Having forged close professional connections over the past 30 years of the BFA program’s existence, the Association organizes several annual events that give program students an opportunity to network with financial and insurance professionals.
The Association also upholds a certain BFA culture, hosting various events that strengthen the ties between students in the different cohorts.
The Magistère BFA Association is a reflection of the BFA spirit and BFA students: dynamic and determined!

Receptions
Every year, the Association hosts several receptions to help students learn, orient themselves, and make their career plans.
Each reception is an opportunity for professionals in the field to present their own career journeys and discuss the advantages of working for their company in a convivial and informal atmosphere.
The receptions have two parts: a roundtable where professionals present their jobs and answer questions from the students, and then a more informal period of mingling.
The Association organizes five annual receptions:
- Audit Reception
- Insurance Reception
- Market Finance Reception
- Corporate Finance Reception
- Fintech Reception
Annual Conference
The Magistère puts on an annual conference during the House of Finance Days event.
In 2020, the theme was: “Buy the rumor, sell the news: event-driven investment strategies”
Bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, scandal, innovation -- companies can be completely changed by many types of corporate event. Such events are sources of rumor and anticipation on the markets, creating arbitrage opportunities. The Magistère BFA conference brought together experts in event-driven strategies to help attendees understand how to invest when stock prices become unstable in anticipation of potential corporate events.
Trips Abroad
The Association organizes an annual trip to a financial capital. The event is an opportunity for students to meet program alumni.
Pre-Semester London Week
Every year, students travel to London to learn more about this center of finance. Thanks to the program’s large alumni network, it is a trip filled with networking opportunities and unique experiences. Alumni welcome students to their places of work (Barclays, Amundi, Nomura, Mazars, Lloyd's, Transatlantic Bank, Evercore, etc.) where they talk about their jobs and answer questions.
Singapore Trip
The week in Singapore is a unique opportunity to meet former Dauphine students while discovering the Asian financial culture of this city-state. The week begins with a presentation about the structural issues of the ASEAN region at the French Embassy. Second-year BFA students then meet with managers from major financial institutions such as Crédit Agricole CIB, HSBC, SCOR, Jardine Lloyd Thomson, Great Eastern Life, and AXA, as well as with the faculty of Nanyang Technological University.
These trips are a real opportunity for Magistère BFA students to meet top-notch recruiters and share their CVs.
Alumni Network
The alumni network of the Magistère BFA is more than twenty years old, and has almost 1,000 members working in the world’s most prestigious financial institutions.
As the guarantor of “BFA spirit,” the Association is charged with maintaining this powerful network and organizing regular networking events for students and alumni in Paris and London.
The Association publishes an annual directory of all alumni and students worldwide. Alumni can now update their own profiles in the online directory.
The BFA network enables students to plan for their professional futures, serving as a real springboard into the profession for program graduates.
