Program Objectives

The Energy, Finance, Carbon (EFC) program trains economists who can operationalize the industrial and economic strategies of the major players in the energy and environment sector, all of whom are strategizing about the energy of tomorrow while dealing with issues relating to energy, finance, and carbon today. This program focuses on the energy issues of the future and provides an opportunity for students to get a solid grounding in energy economics and finance. It also gives them the opportunity to learn more about environmental science. Students in this program can take either the research track or the professional track.
