Alumni Testimonials

Benjamin FENDER
CLASS OF 2012 - SIMPROM PRESIDENT

Real estate has been the common thread through all my studies, because I have always been passionate about this field. Université Paris Dauphine – PSL was a natural choice. After a technical education in construction economics and a financial education in asset management, the Université Paris Dauphine – PSL Master’s program in Real Estate Management gave concrete shape to my academic training by allowing me to gain expertise in the tools and techniques required to begin working in a highly professionalized sector. This work-study program is much more than an education: it’s an education process that is strongly oriented toward operational professionalization. The quality of the professional faculty is key to the transmission of knowledge and know-how, in addition to the experience you gain as a work-study student.

The professional experience I gained abroad, particularly at Tishman Speyer in New York and AEW in London, helped me understand the challenges and responsibilities of everyone, internal staff and contracted service providers alike, involved in a real estate project. I then continued my professional career in the investment team of Ivanhoé Cambridge Europe, where I was charged with the acquisition and selling of all kinds of real estate assets on the European market, before creating Simprom in 2016. Simprom is a real estate promotion company that specializes in the development of residential properties with fewer than 50 lots, which we call “mini condos.”
