Academic Training Year 2025 - 2026 - subject to modification

Teaching Modalities

A solid theoretical and practical education. Beyond the fundamental teachings (law and litigation of economic regulation, law and litigation of competition, environmental law and regulated sectors, competition economics, network economics, regulation economics), courses covering a wide range of sectoral economic regulations are offered (energy regulation, transport, postal services, audiovisual, gaming, electronic communications).

The training is immersed in the economic reality, particularly through practical courses taught by professionals who are, for 60%, practitioners in regulated sectors.

Furthermore, the Master’s program (Master 291) maintains close relationships with economic sector actors. First, through work-study programs.

Students are welcomed into all regulated sectors and regulatory authorities (such as Arcep, Arcom, CRE, for example) and economic administrations (DGE, DGCCRF, for example).

Additionally, through numerous academic and professional conferences and meetings in which students participate.

An adapted methodology. The courses promote professional integration through flipped classroom methods, professional simulations, case studies under the responsibility of practitioners, and the development of files.

Moreover, emphasis is placed on the European dimension of sectoral economic regulation, with case studies carried out in Brussels (European Commission, representations of companies in regulated sectors).

A program open to research. Students write a research thesis, allowing them to pursue a Ph.D. (doctoral contracts, CIFRE, COFRA). They can enroll in the “ research track ” organized by the Graduate Law Program, alongside their Master’s year.

They are also introduced to online legal writing thanks to an editorial partnership with a legal publisher.

Internships and Supervised Projects

The Master’s in Law and Market Regulation (291) is primarily a program open to apprenticeships. However, it also admits, albeit on a small scale, students in initial training and continuing education.

Open to apprenticeships since 2016, the Master 291 has a large network of partner companies and organizations in regulated sectors that welcome the students. Students admitted to the program benefit from assistance in finding an apprenticeship contract.

To familiarize students with the professional environment of economic regulation, two weeks of orientation are organized, providing opportunities for field visits.

Throughout the year, professional meetings are organized by the Master's program administration and the student association.

The Master 291 regularly participates in moot court competitions, including the competition organized by the Competition Authority. Students are supported by the faculty.
