Testimonials
Upon completion of my bachelor’s degree in Economics, I applied to the PSL Master in Finance for its impressive ranking and its broad alumni network. Beyond the qualifications, Paris Dauphine offers its students the opportunity to strengthen their confidence and get real exposure to many different aspects of working in the financial industry. As far as I am concerned, my positions within Sales and Trading teams during my gap year were challenging opportunities to consolidate my practical skills meeting the highest standards in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment. Next thing I knew, Trading was the field in which I wanted to grow as it matches my personality and skills. Thus I applied to the M2 104 (Research in Finance) whose course objectives and teaching staff of both world class faculty and professional experts perfectly fitted me. This program allow students to deepen their knowledge of risk management and strategies evaluation through a mix of statistical and financial modelling courses. In addition, it is entirely taught in English and offers students to choose a specialisation by selecting elective classes along the year. To sum-up, the program offers students key tools to have a successful career in the financial industry. After I graduated in 2018, I joined a Trading team in London as an intern and got a permanent position one year later to work side-by-side with some of the best in the field as a Credit Trader in a highly competitive sector.

I highly recommend the M2 104 "Research in Finance" for hard-working students seeking a successful career in finance. This Master’s offers a deep knowledge both in corporate finance and in financial markets covering many aspects of the financial industry from portfolio evaluation to credit risk management. One of the main advantages is that you can tailor your study course and focus on the skills you would like to develop for your future career. From my perspective, as I already knew I wanted to work in trading, I followed the lessons that had a strong emphasis on quantitative tools and market trend analysis such as derivatives pricing and term structures. I believe that the research-based approach of the degree stimulates curiosity, strengthens autonomy, and allows students to express their own market views. In a nutshell, the Master Research in Finance will give you the fundamental tools to kick-off your career in finance whichever field of the industry you choose.
