The Study Trip
The Strategic Management of Human Resources program organizes a week-long class trip to Montreal every April. Canada is renowned for its forward-thinking human resource management practices. It’s an educational trip, but a cultural one as well. The days are divided up between lectures on issues pertaining to human resources, which are organized in collaboration with HEC Montréal and UQAM, visits to corporations, and free time in town.
Students in the Strategic Management of Human Resources program at Université Paris Dauphine – PSL have the opportunity to see Montreal from the top of Parc Mont Royal, stroll through the streets of the old city, explore the old port, or visit the Plateau. Some students even journey on to the beautiful city of Quebec or to Laurentides wildlife reserve, or explore traditional sugar cabins. The fact that the people of Quebec are so welcoming and kind makes this trip even more special to students!
Lectures and Speakers:
- Cross-cultural Management, Jean-Pierre DUPUIS (HEC)
- Professional Relationships in Quebec, Marc-Antonin HENNEBERT (HEC)
- Gender and Health at Work in Quebec, Karen MESSING (UQAM)
- Ethics, Michel SEGUIN (UQAM)
- The Diversity Question, Sylvie GRAVEL (UQAM)
HR Café
The Idea and the People
The Idea
The concept of the HR Café was born of people’s desire to get together for coffee and a discussion of issues in HR.
The students in the Strategic Management of Human Resources program at Université Paris Dauphine – PSL decided to engage in this new mode of exchange and start their own HR Cafe at Dauphine, Café RH Dauphine.
The Goals
- Discuss your ideas with HR professionals
- Analyze new challenges facing the profession
- Facilitate your practice
- Broaden your network
The Meetings
The Café RH Dauphine takes place between 8 and 10am at Espace One or, if the agenda dictates, off campus.
After breakfast (from 8 to 8:30am), the speakers talk about the session’s theme for about twenty minutes, then moderate the conversation afterwards.
It's guaranteed success, thanks to:
- The coming together of a quality brand and a prestigious university.
- The coming together of your business and our original approach to discussion.
- The coming together of a shared vision, such as your commitment to sustainable development, which aligns with our vision as future HR professionals and with the values that Dauphine espouses through its "Dauphine Développement Durable” initiative.
