Interdisciplinary Research on Societal Issues
Université Paris Dauphine – PSL has a long tradition of pursuing research in mathematics and computer science, which form the foundations of AI through the projects undertaken at the LAMSADE and CEREMADE research labs.
These two laboratories carry significant weight in the new 3IA (Interdisciplinary Institute of Artificial Intelligence) known as PR[AI]RIE, and they are central to the IA/DATA program offering at PSL.
But AI must be considered holistically by including the other scientific fields it influences, examining the usage, ethics, and transformation of work and society. Taking an approach centered on interdisciplinary research, Dauphine-PSL mobilizes all of its other laboratories in the humanities and social sciences.
By virtue of its multidisciplinary nature, Dauphine-PSL, in cooperation with partners in scientific research (particularly CNRS and INRIA, but also the wider PSL structure), is the ideal place for an ambitious program designed to examine AI-related issues.
Chairs, Initiatives and Research Projects
Being able to produce strong disciplinary academic research linked to major socio-economic challenges is one of the cornerstones allowing the university to develop partnerships with stakeholders in the business world through chairs, projects, and research initiatives.
