The commercial innovation observatory named "SCOPS" is one of the flagship projects of the year led by the students. It involves thorough monitoring and analysis, culminating in the final presentation of 16 innovations that have marked the year. Creating a knowledge base related to innovation in the field of commerce and customer relations

General Objectives:
The objective of the observatory is to create a knowledge base related to innovation in the field of commerce and customer relations based on the monitoring work carried out by the students of the Master's in Distribution and Customer Relations at the University Paris Dauphine - PSL.
Educational Objectives:
From an educational standpoint, the SCOPS project is a fantastic project. It brings students together around a common goal. Each group works on an industry sector and is supervised by a teacher from the Master's program.
This work enables students to develop the following skills:
- To work in a group (5 students) and organize their work
- To search for information and process it
- To conceptualize commercial innovation
- Analysis and reflection: evaluating the interest of an innovation, ranking innovations in relation to each other, etc.
- To speak in public, in front of a large audience during the innovation presentation ceremony.
- Argumentation and communication skills: students must defend the most innovative projects in their eyes, justify their interest and communicate it as effectively as possible.
This project mobilizes students, teachers, and companies around a theme that unites the two pillars of the Master's program: distribution and customer relations. It is a common thread that gives meaning to all the teachings of the year.
Four speakers supervise the students in the SCOPS project, through regular meetings to follow the progress of the project, provide guidance and advice, and most importantly, prepare and rehearse the final presentation.
- Sarah Lasri: Lecturer at the University Paris Dauphine - PSL and Head of the Master's program
- Valérie Renaudin: Vice President of Real Estate Projects and New Campus
- Julie Hermann: Shopper Focus Consultant
- Joël Plat: Associate Director at PMP and co-head of the Master's program

The SCOPS 2025 “livre blanc”
Their final year of studies has been filled with meaningful encounters, travel, and valuable learning experiences. They had the opportunity to interact with numerous professionals from a wide range of industries. We would like to sincerely thank all our partners and guest speakers who welcomed them into their headquarters or took the time to share their experiences, helping our students grow.
In addition, the students immersed themselves in several real-life case studies in collaboration with major retail players (Carrefour, Danone, Jonak, Groupement Mousquetaires, Savencia, Maisons du Monde, Guerlain, etc.). The diversity of sectors and companies they worked with contributed to developing their curiosity and adaptability.
To take things even further, they explored sales concepts and retail innovations across France, as well as in Rotterdam, The Hague, and Amsterdam. At the same time, the students have been actively engaged since the beginning of the year in monitoring 2024 innovations and emerging trends as part of the SCOPS initiative. They had the opportunity to pitch the innovations they supported, in pairs, on stage in front of a jury and an audience of retail experts!
It has been an immense pleasure for the teaching team to support them throughout this journey, which will undoubtedly shape their future and their vision of the world.
